Honoring Michael Alan Stein ’69
A native Philadelphian and Akiba grad (and still close with his classmates), Michael’s higher education was rich and diverse, with degree programs in English lit, acting, law and electrical engineering at the area’s most prestigious institutions. He then joined the world of high-tech, managing development of electronic materials and leading the global expansion of family-owned ESL Electro-Science. Since selling the company, he has pursued adventures in real estate, Ag-tech, film production and Jewish education. Michael is passionate about giving back and has served on the boards of IMAPS, BMFI, Muhlenberg College, JBHA and JNF. He finds time to weight train, run, scuba dive, ski, collect rare books and lead Torah study. Nonetheless, Michael’s daughters, Kira and Juliet, remain his greatest passions.
